American Classifieds started out as "Thrifty Nickel" in 1981 by the Spring family. When trying to place a classified ad with the only classifieds paper at the time and have a horrible experience, the Spring family decided to create their own paper...with their own values of treating others as they wanted to be treated.
Our goal is to maintain our "old fashioned" values of integrity, pride in our company and community, treating our clients, advertisers and readers with respect and fellowship and providing a viable product that we feel has value and makes a difference to individuals and businesses. These are the standards to which we weigh all our actions and decisions.

The mission of American Classifieds is to provide results-oriented advertising, public relations, and market consulting designed to meet our client's objectives by providing strong marketing concepts and excelling at customer service. We seek to become a marketing partner with our clients. We desire to measure a successful relationship through awareness, exposure and increased sales for and meeting the needs of our clients.
